Lining up with the word part 2

First, you need to come into alignment with the word of God. Many times people refer to the books of the Bible, the Biblical Canon. Inside it has the Pauline Canon, the Petrine Canon, and the Johannine Canon. The term Canon comes from the Greek word Kanon, which refers to a long rounded rod of wood to which things are fastened to keep them straight.

Paul uses this word in the book of Galatians when he says, “God forbid that I boast in anything except for the cross…For in Christ there is neither circumcision nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule,” or Kanon, “peace and mercy be unto them.”

The Word of God is a rule or rod by which we are to attach our lives and line ourselves up with God. With out the word there is no other covenant or promise from God. But when we line ourselves up with the word we are aligning ourselves with the God’s will.
